Law office staff and paralegals may join the GALA listserv.  To join, please email Estephany Acosta at:

A summary of GALA is set forth below:

GALA is designed to share knowledge in the Probate and Guardianship field at the Paralegal/Legal Assistant level.  We also even have members who are Judicial Assistants, lawyers, and office administrators.

If you scan through the messages posted on our list you will see some great questions have been asked…. and answered.  We currently have a lot of knowledge (years of working experience in our many members) about the Eleventh Judicial Circuit, the 17th, 13th and 6th. I am trying to sign on members from all over the state. Don’t we all end up having to file something outside our county? Of course we do. So who better to ask what the procedure is, than legal assistants in that county.

Once you are a member you can look under “Files” and you will see we have posted the Procedural Rules for each of Miami-Dade County’s four divisions. I am happy to entertain ideas for additional postings.

Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you,
Estephany Acosta
